Troy Ballard - Coach
For most of my life I have lived with and trained my dogs to have good manners within my home.
With the rescue of a Doberman Pinscher, I began more formal obedience training and also started assisting my coach in teaching others.
I have trained and shown four dogs in AKC and APDT competition obedience classes. I currently train and show a eight year old and a two year old Belgian Tervuren. Together we have completed multiple obedience and agility titles.
I have been teaching and co-teaching group classes and giving private coaching for ten years. My specialty is work with reactive dogs; dogs that respond fearfully to some or all stimuli.
I use positive motivation training in all my coaching to improve the dog/handler relationship.
I am also a member of the Association Of Pet Dog Trainers - www.APDT.com as well as a Canine Good Citizen Evaluator.
I am an APDT Rally Level 1 Judge and APDT Rally Representative.
